Playing with the Lobster Elite 3 is so much fun because it can send the ball anywhere on the court! It is a better workout than a person and it is more fun because the machine never tires out!
A Lobster Sports tennis ball machine is the perfect partner that allows you to concentrate on finely honing your tennis stroke, develop shot placement strategies, build stamina, and experience a total body workout, all without the worries that your human tennis partner will cancel, show up late, or flake out altogether.
There's no question that ball machines are excellent tennis training tools that will take your game to new levels. Practicing against a ball machine builds confidence, improves tennis strokes, and strengthens your overall fitness. The Lobster Elite 2 and Elite 3 are the only ball machines to challenge all of your strokes-not just your forehand and backhand.
We've provided multiple Tennis Ball Machine Drills to help you schedule your practice time.
When concentrating on your forehand or backhand, the ability to set your machine to consistently hit the same spot in succession allows you to fine-tune your technique and improve your tennis skills. The repetitive training offered by a ball machine will allow you to solidify your strokes, quickly transforming weak areas into strengths.
But tennis is more than being able to hit a good forehand or backhand, it's also about anticipating the shot, getting to the ball, and returning it precisely where your opponent is not. The Lobster Sports Elite is the only tennis ball machine that will develop the footwork necessary to become an advanced player, due to its Triple Oscillation capabilities.
Are you looking to improve the skills of your players at a club, school, or camp? A Lobster Sports Electric-Operated Tennis Ball Machine is perfect for standing up to the rigors of day-after-day use by multiple players and for those who have access to electricity.

Stefan Edberg, one of the greatest volley players, said the best way to practice volleys is through the use of a ball machine. A human being is unable to hit the ball at you exactly the same way at the same speed time after time. Conversely, a tennis ball machine allows you to practice your volley over and over again until you perfect it.
Mike Agassi set up a battery of ball machines at his backyard court for his son, Andre Agassi, to hit. Filling the machines with garbage can after garbage can of tennis balls, Andre learned the mental agility that accompanied his footwork. He also has one of the greatest return-of-serve records in the game. Placing his tennis ball machine on a ladder provided him the correct angle to practice these with the constancy that only a ball machine can give.
While you may not choose to dedicate hours of every day practicing as they did, the mechanics of practicing against a Lobster Sports tennis ball machine will absolutely improve your game. If it worked for Stefan and Andre, it'll work for you! Take the next step and see how the Lobster Sports Elite Tennis Ball Machine can help you improve your game!
Groove Your Shots - Select a stroke to work on, such as forehand or backhand, and set your Lobster ball machine to hit at the same location each time. Return the balls using the same stroke or alternate strokes.
Cardio Madness - Turn on your Lobster ball machine's oscillation feature to give a bouncy mid-court ball at three-second intervals. Work on your footwork and recovery time.
Target Practice - Place a 2'x2' target in a service court corner. Attempt to strike the target each time, keeping track of the number of successful hits. To increase difficulty, switch on the oscillation feature. To further elevate in difficulty, place three targets at the baseline and two at each corner of the service boxes. With the oscillation feature on, hit a different target each stroke.
Match Timing - Using the optional wireless remote control, play for 30 seconds, turn the machine off, and serve two balls. Repeat until the hopper is empty.
Mini Tennis - Decrease the ball speed and position the ball to bounce in the forecourt. Try to return balls into the opposite forecourt. Add horizontal oscillation to increase difficulty. Alley Tennis - Position your Lobster ball machine in the back alley. Try to return all shots within the alley.
LOB-STER Smash! - Set your Lobster ball machine to lob throwing by elevating the 3" shot selector to its highest position and adjust time caps to 6 or 12 seconds. Place 3 targets close to the baseline. Stay in the backcourt. After each shot, run and touch the net, while repositioning in time for the next shot. Aim at each target, one after the other with a smash.
